The majestic KL Tower in Malaysia

Rising magnificently over the Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve, the KL Tower ranks among the tallest telecom towers in the world. This skyscraping
tower with a bulb resting upon its apex resembles a Malaysian spinning toy. The KL Tower has a revolving restaurant and an
observation deck. These are the best places to admire the views of the city. The tower bears imprints of the Islamic heritage in the form of
Islamic tiles, and traditional flower and abstract motifs of Islam.
The KL Tower was constructed in three phases:
The work done in the first phase was the extension of Jalan Punchak and diggings of soil from the construction site. It began on
October 4, 1991 and ended on August 15, 1992.
The second phase spanned between July 6, 1992, and April 15, 1993. The foundation of the tower was laid and the basement of the
tower was built.
The work of the third phase began in May 1994 with the construction of the tower. Main lobby and dome were also added during this
phase.
After the construction of the KL Tower, the final touches were given on September 13, 1994.

El Boqueron National Park, El Salvador

made in Morocco

The El Boqueron National Park in El Salvador sits atop the San Salvador volcano. With ornamental tropical flowers like 'cartuchos', hydrangeas, begonias and wild 'sultanas', the park is a wonderful travelers' spot. Travelers coming to San Salvador, visit this park wooed by its main attraction, El Boqueron. Literally translated, El Boqueron means 'wide mouth'. It is a crater that lies in the heart of the park, with a diameter of 5 km and a depth of 558 meters. The surprise is a mini crater inside the bigger one which the locals of San Salvador lovingly call 'El Boqueroncito'(little Boqueron). This little crater is the upshot of the latest volcanic eruption of 1917. A hike down the crater is a challenge, even for practiced hikers since the steep walls make the descent very difficult. There are several scenic trails leading up to five viewing areas from where one can view the craters. It is not much of a walk for regular hikers. However, for travelers whose calf muscles have not had much exercise lately, the hike can prove quite a jaunt. Thoughtfully laid out benches, give tired hikers time to catch their breath. And, then the view of El Boqueron descends on the onlooker. A testimony, to the finality of nature. A reminder of our irrelevance in the larger scheme of things. On the way down, visitors to the park can buy local fruits, sold by local residents trying to make living, at the gate of the park. There are restaurants here too, which sell assorted Central American delicacies, a wonderful treat for the worked up appetite after the hike.

The park is situated at a height of 1800 meters.
Before the Spanish conquest of the 16thcentury, the volcano was known as Quezaltepec since the place abounded in Quetzales, a
long feathered bird native to Central America.

El Salvador remains packed with tourists during the Semana Santa (Holy Week) the week preceding Easter Sunday,
August and during the winters from November through February. The winters may get a little chilly, but are still the best time to visit. August
is good too, if you can travel keeping in mind the delays caused by occasional downpours. The weather is very hot and humid from March
through August and is best avoided.

Jeita Grotto, Nahr al-Kalb Valley, Lebanon

made in Morocco

The Jeita Grotto (Arabic: مغارة جعيتا‎) is a system of two separate, but interconnected, karstic limestone caves spanning an overall length of nearly 9 kilometres (5.6 mi). The caves are situated in the Nahr al-Kalb valley within the locality of Jeita, 18 kilometres (11 mi) north of the Lebanese capital Beirut. Though inhabited in prehistoric times, the lower cave was not rediscovered until 1836 by Reverend William Thomson; it can only be visited by boat since it channels an underground river that provides fresh drinking water to more than a million Lebanese.
In 1958, Lebanese speleologists discovered the upper galleries 60 metres (200 ft) above the lower cave which have been accommodated with an access tunnel and a series of walkways to enable tourists safe access without disturbing the natural landscape. The upper galleries house the world's largest known stalactite. The galleries are composed of a series of chambers the largest of which peaks at a height of 120 metres (390 ft).
Aside from being a Lebanese national symbol and a top tourist destination, the Jeita grotto plays an important social, economic and cultural role and is a finalist in the New 7 Wonders of Nature competition, and as of 7:44 pm GMT the provisional New7Wonders of Nature based on the first count of vote results on 11/11/11 Jeita was one of the top 14 Finalists in the New7Wonders of Nature.

Rio de Janeiro

Rio de Janeiro

Life's a Beach

Rio is too busy at the beach to compete with São Paulo or Buenos Aires as Latin America's most stylish and dynamic metropolis. And who can blame it? After all, this is the city of tanned beauties living between lush mountains and golden beaches, so beauty and sensuality wins over urban sophistication.

It is also stunningly beautiful when seen from the top of the famous Corcovado statue or the Sugar Loaf mountain. Its matchless location earned it the name of "the marvellous city" and you'll agree as you lay in Copacabana or Ipanema beaches gazing at the surrounding hills and mountains -- that is, if you're not too distracted by the flawless bodies sunbathing or playing volleyball.

The smart Leblon neighborhood offers fashionable boutiques and restaurants, and in Ipanema you'll find the swankiest bars and shops. Then there's the colonial charm in its oldest districts (from the architecture of downtown to the Lisbon-like pavements), and the more bohemian Lapa and Santa Teresa neighborhoods.

So pack your Havaianas and your sexiest beachwear, and whether you'll be heading to the beach, to a colorful dance venue, or crossing over to Niteroi's contemporary art museum, you'll always be surrounded by an irresistible and constant motion in Rio.
